Im sorry for posting this but I am very new to AGS I have finished downloading the program a few Hours ago I read the tutuorial but I am stuck on this one area which I am sure many Of you know how to do but Ill ask anyway. How do you make a Background? ???

Mouth for war

Right click on Rooms and then choose "New room" choose "edit room" and choose "Change" to import a background. Everything is explained in the manual. Try looking around in the manual before asking about the basic stuff. Most likely you'll find your answers there
mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer

And just to make stuff clear, you can't draw backgrounds in AGS - you will have to create them in another application (MS Paint or any other program listed in this thread), then save them in a supported file format (I recommend PNG) and import into AGS the way Mouth for war explained.

Khris

It says right there in the manual's tutorial:

QuoteDraw the image in your favourite paint package, and once done, save it as a BMP or PNG file. Then, return to the AGS Editor, and press the "Change" button. Find the file you just created, and click Open.

If you've followed the tutorial, your game should be set to a resolution of 320x200 at 16bit. Thus, the best way to start is creating a new image of that size, paste one of the Roger sprites from AGS's sprite manager onto another layer as height reference and draw a simple room to experiment with.

I guess the three of us have now covered all the ways one can interpret your question ;)
