Hi,

i want to create a new Game, but there are several Questions. Perhaps you can help me.

So...

How du you Start width...

the Pictures? (What size)?
The Character? Size in development?
The GUI??? Indiana Jones style? (Painting etc.)

I hope you can give me some tips.

Alynn

What size? Depends on what resolution you want the game at... (same with the characters) backgrounds... anything really

If you want my opinion, the best way to figure it all out... is just do it

I experimented with AGS for over a month, trying different things graphics and so on and so forth... THEN I started on my game...

practice makes perfect, and there is no substitute for experience.

I mean the size of the Pictures you are Creating for example in paint.
Are you really creating a picture in 320 x 240 ???? or are you creating a picture width a size of for example 640 x 480? Just for resizing it after you finished it? The Character for example indiana jones is so small... How do you paint him??? I ask for the details... Shadows etc.?

TerranRich

Some people can actually draw characters that small. But usually if you're making a 320x200 game, you draw the background in that resolution. Maybe one or two people here resize from a larger image, but I doubt it.
Status: Trying to come up with some ideas...

I started by drawing some backgrounds, and now I have so many that I just have to make a game with them, but the game concept have changed at least 12 times since i begun drawing...
