I have alot of problems, i wanna know how to change the text box the messages appear in so its not that dull grey color, i need to know how to play midi's in ags, i need to know how to add face text messages, so on and so forth

it is not as impossible as it may seem. I am not that good with the technical AGS parts, but what you are asking for is not so hard
for changing the text box, go to general settings and just tick the "Text windows use GUI" and then put in the number of the GUI. You can make the GUI by just making a normal one, and then replacing the pics with ones in the colour you want. As far as I know, midis can be used as normal music, just rename it to music1 and then select Play Music and choose 1, wherever you want the music to play.  For "face" messages, just choose Sierra style speech from the "Speech style" box in general settings.

Yes, you should always refer to the manual first.  But if you can't find it there, feel free to ask. Also, I know how you feel about the horrible grey gui. That was one of the many things that originally scared me away from AGS. I doubted its power. Yet, now I'm making my own GUI, and it's awesome. The script is so flexible, and so easy to manipulate. Now if only I could get it to work right, LOL. Well, anyway, you are fairly new to the forums, and to AGS apparently, so, welcome to the community. Don't think you're special. I'm not anyone important...
