I'm New to AGS and need help with making stand by characters to talk to

I want to make a character stand in my game and be talk-to-able, I have the sprits but the character won't show on the screen! :'( How do I make this character part of my game?

Maybe set the character's view frames to those sprites and set the character's room to the one he should be?  :
