Did you set the walkbehind's baseline? If the player is above the baseline, he'll disappear behind the walkbehind. Also double-check that you've added a walkbehind, not a region or hotspot, etc.

As this is just basic stuff, I think you need to read the tutorials first. One that you need to read is Part 2 from the manual (you can also press F1 in the editor instead of reading the online version), in fact, it is good to you if you read all the tutorials first and have a feel on how to handle stuff in AGS.

I'd suggest viewing all those youtube videos because they're great.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

yeah, I always forget to set the baseline. Basically, the baseline defines where the character e.c.t. has to be for the walk-behind area to take effect.

Now I don't think I need to tell you this, but the baseline usually goes at the bottom of the table, desk, bed or whatever it is you want your guy to walk behind

Next time, please read the tutorial before you ask here.
