How come is he so big in that default game, if the characters' size is limited to 20x20? 's all I need to know

Tuomas

OK. So the size may not be limited. Fair enough. But I still got no clue how to draw a bigger one to fit

I don't think there's any limit on character size, except what'll fit on the screen. Roger's sprite are all about 15-20x40, and a lot of games use bigger than that. Where'd you hear about a 20x20 limit?

EDIT: sorry, cross posted.
What do you mean, you don't know how to draw a bigger one to fit?
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

What I mean is this: I draw a figure sized 20x20 in order to fit it in the little (is it purple) box in the sprite manager. The box/ square as much as I know is the sprites size, while choosing the picture to import. Anyhow this might be very hardly understandable, I'm not sure I do.

The thing is, I just couldn't get a picture sized the same as Roger to fit in the box and my character turned out to be headless.

When the import sprite window opens, you can hold down the right mouse button to drag out the size of the selection (the 20x20 box) to fit your sprite, or, if your sprite is all that's in the image (no empty space, or other sprites, use the 'Grab entire image' button.
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

Yeah, what Ashen said.

The pink squares in the sprite manager are not the maximum size of your sprites. They're just thumbnails. You can have bigger sprites, and a small picture of them will be shown in the sprite manager. They'll still be full size in your game.

Thanks a lot! Was never gonna find out myself. Even though, I did expect something a bit complicated...:)
