Title: Importing *.pcx files from Delux Paint 2
Post by: on Sat 25/09/2004 14:35:58
Hmmmm

Ok guys, am trying to import .pcx files from Delux Paint 2 into my game but keep getting a message saying there is an error importing the file check colour depth and the file name are correct. I've checked and the colour depth seems to be right, and the file name is certainly right. Does anyone have any experience using delux paint 2 to make their games, if so could they offer any advice?

might be a bit off-topic, but I remember using DeluxePaint 3 (!) back in 1989 on my Comodore Amiga 500... (and no I don't remember much about it)

are you running your game in high color? that should get rid of any inconsistancies with palettes.

Were you running DP in 256 colour mode (thus saving them as 256 colours), 16/4/2 colour PCXs may not work with AGS.
