Title: inventory OUT of inv
Post by: on Tue 24/06/2003 22:43:13
When I take an inventory item out of the inventory (like im holding it) how do i make it look like the object when I found it. I have a shovel I found, but after I take it and put it in the inventory I only have the head of the shovel as the picture so I could have a detailed picture instead of a blurry little picture of the shovel, but when I click it to use it or put it somewhere... it stays as the picture of the big shovel. I know this is because its actually a completely different object now, and the other one was deleted from the room when I clicked it, but is there any way to make it appear to be the old object I clicked when I take it out of the inventory.

Is your question about you not wanting to use inventory objects as cursors?
Or do you want your characters to automatically come up with some animation with a shovel that you yourself didn't create?

Im confused.

In my game I have a shovel leaning up against a wall

When you click it, it disapears and in your inventory appears a picture of JUST the head of the shovel.

When I click that to use it, I want the original shovel image to appear again on the curser

create a new cursor, with using the whole shovel as the cursor pic... then switch cursors and such.
