Title: IsChannelPlaying()
Post by: Radiant on Tue 22/01/2008 00:05:14
The help text for IsChannelPlaying() states:

"if the user doesn't have a sound card this will always return 0."

Is that even possible with contemporary computers, or is that a remnant from the DOS era?

Sure there are computers with no sound card or maybe the drivers are not installed correctly etc.

Anyone playing video games sans a soundcard deserves errors en masse.

Why? I did that for years in the past.

Also, the PC CD-ROM version of LOOMTM did not require (did not support any) soundcard, while the unenhanced floppy one could use a soundcard. :=
