How to get Norton AV to accept AGS as a nonthreat?

Hi. I read the other thread similar to this one, and someone gave advice to another thread which says that I shouldn't get the 404 message in help if I switch my antivirus software to accept AGS. I attempted to do this by changing my firewall to accept AGS as an okay program, yet I'm still not able to get the help section. (still getting the Action Canceled message). (I have also restarted.)

I'm trying to really figure out how to upload my own character because I spent a good chunk o' time making each frame, but can't see a single place to import a .bmp for a sprite/character/whatever.

Anyway, back on topic, I also tried to view the video in the sticky (READ THIS FIRST) at the top of this forum, (the "Miscellaneous Stuff That Might Prove Useful") but I'm not able to log on to either this: http://www.siliconism.net/ags/copyandpaste.zip (Forbidden) or the backup, this: http://www.xylot.com/copyandpaste.zip (it says the page can not be displayed.)

I'm hoping I'm just missing something with my AV software; I've gone through the Norton help (several times), adjusted my firewall to the best of my abilities, and still nothing.... Anyone have any advice? I so don't want to be that "typical newbie" with all the dumb questions.. I always try to figure it out myself first, but I'm stumped this time.
