I have music1.mid and that works or if I use music1.mp3 that works but music1.mod won't work ?
I put it in the  Compiled folder and that didn't work so how do I get a mod to play ?
Using this
SetMusicRepeat(0);
 PlayMusic(1);
StartCutscene(1);
I can play mods on my computer with winamp .

I don't think it should go into the Compiled folder.
Put it in your normal game folder, delete any music1.mp3 or music1.mid or similar that you may have there, and select "Rebuild VOX files" from the "Game" menu.

Then in case you placed it in the game folder it's probably a mod file itself which AGS doesn't support or something. Could you try another one? Btw, only the first 13 channels of a mod can be played by AGS.

First of all, you don't need to rebuild the VOX files.. Only MP3s OGGs and WAVs are saved in the Music.vox vile. Mod and Midi files are compiled directly into the game's EXE when you save..

AGS shouldn't give an error if there are simply too many channels.. In my experiance, it just plays the first 13 and ignores the rest.

Are you using Modplug tracker? That could give you problems if you're using a compressed mod or MP3 samples.. MPT doesn't always save modules in their "true" format-- it pretty much ruins any chance of compatability unless you're really careful about what you do. IMO the guy who wrote it was a jackass for not making up his own format-- instead he decided to screw up all the other ones..  :P
