Two animations of the same view, one is blurry

Hello everyone,

I have two identical objects at different ends of the screen, both are animating using the same view #, and both are set to repeat using eNoBlock, I noticed that one of them is crystal clear and the other one is kind of blurry. I'm assuming using two of the objects to repeat using the same view at the same time is frowned upon?

Can anyone shed some light on this.

Could you show a screenshot?  I've certainly animated two objects at the same time using the same view, so I don't think that's causing the problem.

I just realized... :P ... that when I play the game full screen, it's O.K, that it only happens when testing. So I guess I shouldn't worry. But it is happening while testing. I tried to upload an image of it, but with the animation being so small I can't seem to get a clear image.

Is the blurry object scaled up or down in any way?  That can sometimes lead to a bit of blurriness in testing mode.

Negative. I am using a very large monitor, I don't know if that matters, but I have not rescaled the animations or the art at all. The whole screen is crystal clear including one of the animations, but the other using the same view leads to a slightly blurry 2nd animation.

I tried this with multiple views, and one always plays slightly blurry than the other when testing. Not a big deal, but had me scratching my head for a while.

Thanks for the help

Just for reference, the screen is drawn from scratch every frame using the current state of the game. Animating an object basically means that the sprite slot number assigned to the object changes every couple of frames, according to the view's data.
In other words, animating 40 objects using the same view at the same time is perfectly fine.

If one object is blurry, there's definitely something that's causing it. For instance, walkable areas also cause objects to be scaled down, unless their .IgnoreScaling is set to true.

Please show us a screenshot. It shouldn't matter if you run the game windowed or fullscreen. Also, if you can't capture the blurriness with a screenshot, there's something wrong with the monitor or your eyes ;)

There's something wrong with my head, this is a proven fact!

It's not a walk behind or walkable area issue, It's really not an issue at all I guess.

I kinda think it's just my monitor or just some optical illusion that the test screen size is giving off. I'm using a 27" monitor and when I test the game, it appears that the 2nd animation is slightly blurred. The uploading of the picture does no good, it appears normal when I zoom in looking at in my paint program. I already sound like a crazy nut, and I probably am, so I'll just move on. Not to mention that I'm terrible at photobucket and scaling things, nothing seems to show what I'm seeing.

All good though, and I'm sorry to waste everyones time. Raising gun to my head and pulliii

This thread will self destruct in 1 day....I hope...

Can it be a mismatch of the refresh rate of your desktop resolution and the frame rate of the game? Coupled with poor response time of some LCD panels you may have similar problems I guess.
