Title: Larger Resolution
Post by: pixg on Tue 27/01/2009 13:01:32
I am new to AGS and i'm starting a new game but I find the tiny 320 x 200 screen not much to work with.. I tried setting the resolution to 800 x 600, however after running the game in this setting the character refuses to walk and seems to be stuck in the top left part of the screen....

can anyone tell me if there is anything i need to do to get the guy to walk about normaly in a 800 x 600 screen resolution ?

???

You need to redifine your walkable areas.

I have done this, i have also set the edges top, bottom, left and right.

the character still apears at the top ofthe screen (not in the walkable area) and wont move.

Then just enter the position you need in the character's properties. StartX and StartY are what you need to edit.

Thank you for posting this question, as I now have been able to fix my problem.

In doing so, however, I completely screwed up everything I'd done for the last several hours. Not fun, but lol worthy after I stopped being annoyed.

Cheers everyone, for answering that question :)
