Title: Launching the Editor program on my computer
Post by: on Sat 02/07/2005 19:42:58
I can't seem to start the editor program on my computer. I tried puting in AGSEDITOR.EXE into my Windows XP's run window and it says it can't find it. Can anybody help me launch the editor program?

first of all, its called 'agsedit.exe', and second of all, why use the winxp run window? create a shortcut for the program to the desktop or something... but whatever, I hope you get the program working.

To create a shortcut:

Right-click AGSEDIT.EXE.
Hover over "Send to".
A menu will pop up.
Click "Desktop (Create Shortcut)".

If you haven't worked with a computer long enough to know how to create a shortcut, then I hearily suggest you work with the tutorial in the manual/helpfile and look through our other tutorials as you create a tutorial game, to get you into making a game. There are also demo games of the editor that have been made, and those helped me when I was just a beginner, understand things about AGS.  Good luck with your ags career.
