 ???
I finally completed my game, but it's in italian. I'd like to release it, but I must have it translated. How does the translation tool work in AGS? I couldnt manage to use it.
Thanks

There is a section in the AGS manual explaining how to create a translation file -- check it out: Other features -> Translations.

Well, if you've already read it then you should probably elaborate a bit on what exactly doesn't work. Did you manage to create a .TRA file etc.?

Bijulinus

I did it as Help file told me, and when I updated my txt file, AGS told me:
translation was compared with current game, and no difference was encountered.

This sound very strange: how can I make it? I'M sure i changed it!!!

Did you change the translation .txt file? AGS tells you that the text within the game hasn't been changed and thus there is no need to update the translation source (.txt) file.

What you'd do, choose Make translation source to create a txt file, then after adding translated text into it choose Create compiled translation and select your txt file -- AGS will produce a .TRA file. Finally, place that .tra file in the same folder where exe file is. From now, you should be able to choose the language via the game setup.

EDIT: by "place that .tra file in the same folder where exe file is" I mean your game .exe file (usually located in the .\Compiled folder).
