Title: Mouse cursor won't display the active inventory item (Solved)
Post by: DoUn2u on Fri 29/01/2010 02:27:40
Hi all,
I've made half a game using the old version of AGS and imported it to the new version and continued working. So far, everything has been fine apart from any new inventory items I have created. AddInventory works, the sprites show up on the inventory screen and can be looked at, but when they are made active, and the mouse is supposed to turn into the inventory sprite, the mouse cursor disappears. Any inventory items created before the AGS update still work fine, even if I 'replace image from file'. The images I'm using for the new inventory objects were already imported as sprites to AGS before the change. I'm assuming this is a scripting problem and not a graphics problem?
I can't work out why the old inventory items work and the new ones don't! I couldn't find any reports of similar problems on the forums.
Any help with this is appreciated!

Edit: I just realised there's a setting for 'mouse cursor', which I wasn't changing from the default picture. Blond moment anyone? Sorry for the waste of space, and thanks for the suggestions Dom.

This may sound like a stupid question, but when you select each inventory item in the AGS editor, do they all appear properly? Or are some sprites missing?

Maybe this is redundant, but make sure each inventory item has been given the proper view as well.
