Hi guys,

I just have a question about the speed of AGS. I am looking for an adventure creation tool to learn and AGS looks great. I have however read numerous comments that AGS is very slow.

All I wanted to know if this is an issue with todays computers or let's say with computers in 6 months time. I am planning on using 640 x 480 graphics with 32 bit anti-aliased sprites.

Also doens anyone know what the licencing issues applying to commercial games are?

Thank you very much for any feedback :)

AGS games run just fine on modern day machines. And if the 32-bit colour is too much for someone's graphics card, they can always use the setup option to downgrade to 16-bit colour. This is not the hoped case anyhow. This is why the setup is present, to let people with lower spec machines to run hi-spec games. However, I see the case is that if it's not strictly neccesary to use cpu-consuming features, I'd avoid it.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time
