Moving Character from 1 room to Another

I have set the room settings to make a character go to a differant room when they walk off the screen but it doesnt work when i try to walk off some sides of the screen. Can anyone help?

Have you adjusted the screen edge yellow lines so the player can reach them still being on a walkable area?

How do you make him to go to a different room, with the interaction editors commands or via NewRoom() script function?
