How do I insert a file midi for every room?

Do you want the SAME MIDI in every room or a DIFFERENT MIDI for each room?

If it's the latter, just select the room, look at Room Editor -> Settings, check "Play music on room load" and insert the number of the MIDI you wish played in that room. All your MIDIs should be in the same directory as the game and named "Music0.mid", "Music1.mid" and so on.

So, for example, if you want the MIDI, "Music1.mid" to play, insert "1" in the box.

Okay, well I'm assuming that means you want the second option, i.e. a different MIDI in each room.

Do the MIDIs work if you play them in WinAmp or Windows Media Player? Are you even using Windows? What Operating System are you using? What make is your sound card? Are you sure you're using MIDIs or another format? Do MIDIs work when you try out other AGS games/demos?

Check the MIDI volume... if your soundcard has a midi synth... And make sure the files are in the game folder, not the /compiled, or any other subfolder. Do you get any warnings after you have tested the game?

Also, are your speakers on and connected to the soundcard? :P

Is it possible most beginners have the windows default "Hide file extensions for known file types" enabled?
When they rename their music files to music1.mid for example the file is actually called music1.mid.mid and therefore isn't played? Or does AGS compensate for that?
Just wondering...

Yeah, the deal is actual. If you rename some music file to music1.mid.mid AGS will be unable to play it.
