Title: Music problems
Post by: Scuzling on Sun 28/09/2003 07:35:17
hi i am having problems with music in rooms in AGS, when i have an mp3 as the music for the room & click all over the screen in the game very quickly it causes the music to stutter & make weird noise but when i do this with a midi file it is fine & doesnt affect gameplay or stutter or anything. So ive decided i want midi files as the music for my game but i have already made the songs as mp3 so i was wondering if you are able to convert mp3s to midi or if there is a free program out there that i can make some good tunes for my game under the midi format?

If the program you used to make the mp3 can save the sequence as midi, you can do it. But, as far as I know, there is no programm which converts any sound format to note sequences, or vice versa.

Well, actually there are, for example:
http://www.allformp3.com/mp3_other/mtm.htm (http://www.allformp3.com/mp3_other/mtm.htm)

But I'm not really interested and I never tried these kinda things, I can foretell they can be quite bad anyway.
