Title: Music rights
Post by: dbuske on Sat 18/12/2010 21:23:09
What am legally able to do as far as music goes?
Can I use a David Bowie tune "Heroes" without paying a fee, if the I don't make any money on the game?
I would like to add a good song for each room the character enters.

No. You would need to pay royalties even for non-commercial games.

Search for "royalty-free music" if you want to use others' music free of charge. Remember to credit them in your game if you use their music.

Thanks.
I spent most of the morning finding music.
I chose 10 songs from someone called Danosongs.
