Dear AGS enthusiast,

I hope this post is on topic, although I'm not a programmer/ developer but simply a user.

I bought some Wadjet Eye Games (Including Gemini Rue, Blackwell series, Shivah) and the games run mostly fine, except that they stutter quite often. Especially when you perform an action, the background music will stutter (approx 5x 1s repeat). Also sometimes the screen has some glitches (half of the screen is black with some green pixels).

I have Acer laptop with Windows 7 home Premium 64-bit SP1. Intel core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz, 12.0 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6850M.

I tried to change some settings of the winsetup, but so far no luck. Are there any settings you recommend? I also switched my battery settings to "high performance" mode.

I assume that it is an AGS problem, and not a Wadjet Eye Games problem. Hence my post here on the AGS forum.

Thanks & keep up the good work!

Hmm... Sound stuttering is a known problem for some AGS games, but usually only on room changes. The graphical glitches sound like there's something wrong with your computer, though.

It's hard to know exactly what it might be... You could try switching between the Direct3D and DirectDraw drivers, and between full screen and running in a window. And you could download some other (free) AGS games and see if you get the problem in more games. Sorry that I don't know what else to recommend.
