Need help using the inventory :)

Hi all i found an old disk with ags on it and installed it and now im hooked ive made 6 rooms using 3d graphics software and then exported it as stills. the program is ace  :D But im confused i want to make an inventry item open a door using a hotspot to take the charater to the next room cant seem to make the key work. Also is it possible to put fullscreen animations in the game for like title screens such as sam and max's ??? other than that i think ive picked it up pretty quickly  :D

If you are using ags 2.7 try this.
Go to the hotspot and click on the "Interaction" button. Go to "Use inventory item on hotspot" and double click on it and choose "Condition  if inventory item was used" and choose the object key number. Then to make the character change room use "Player go to a different room" and put the room number.
I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

And you should update to the version on the main page, probably those disks are out of date, and the new version has wabbits!

You can use  fullscreen animations, just remember they use more memory.

Candle probably means using background frames to animate room backgrounds but for intros and such you can better use videos (PlayVideo function) or FLI/FLC animations (PlayFlic function).
