Title: Newbie having problem with walkable areas
Post by: kentrise on Tue 02/03/2010 14:27:45
Hi
I downloaded AGS yesterday and was taking the tutorial. When it got on to Walkable areas, and walk behinds, whether i click left button or right, there is a little message saying
"you are currently using the eraser. To draw new areas, change the selected are number".
I have scoured the forum and watched the you-tube video a few times and am thinking that I am actually a spanner. Can somebody help?

in the properties frame in the bottom right of the screen there's a dropdown box. When Walkable Area ID 0 is selected, anything you draw will remove walkable areas. Choose any other ID from the list to create a walkable area with that ID :)

Thank you very much
Expect about 40 thousand questions in the coming weeks and months  :)

Hmm, granted, the tutorial doesn't mention the dropdown box, but when I start a default game and open the first Room, walkable area #1 is selected.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that about 39.987 of those questions are answered in Densming's video tutorials.
