Hi there...i have a question...I want to be a better programmer so i can make nice stuff in AGS...my question is...what program is the scripteditor based on? c++, visual basic etc? i need to know so i can buy the appropriate book and start learning the basic stuff. I'd like a book in my own language (swedish)

Although AGS's scripting language is similar to C, C++, BASIC, Java, C#, etc. (some to higher degrees than others), it isn't directly derived from any of them. AGS's scripting language is a custom language written by Chris Jones (Pumaman). Any programming book would help you to better understand some of the basic concepts of programming, though AGS bears the most semblance to the C languages (C, C++, C#).

CJ should release a AGS scripting book. No kidding, he will be rich!

the help file is....no offence...a little too chaotic to print out and read. i usually check the wiki address 1st for help before going into the help file

You can find the help file on line here.

Or, the official online manual. Personally I think the offline chm file is the best for navigation (It's just not print friendly).

AGS Manual (2.72)
The ags-help.chm file that comes with version 2.72, decomplied and on-line for your convenience. Compliments of Candle.

I knew that, what's teh problem then?
