Problem importing character

Hello!!!

I just drew a character in paint that I was supposed to put in my game. But when I go to the character section in AGS and press the "Import character" button I can't find my character. I know where I saved it but I think that paint might not have the ability to save the correct type of files for importing these kinds of characters.

What have I done wrong and how can I fix it?

"Import character" is for importing pre-made AGS characters. You want to just import the graphics for your character, as described in the BFAQ.
