Title: Problem with full screen mode at any resolution
Post by: on Thu 02/02/2006 11:30:21
I got ags 2.71 a few days ago and started creating my game.Ã,  Since the test mode was set to window mode i noticed this error just 2 days ago.

When I run the game at full screen mode, it looks something like this:

--------------------
I@@@@@@IÃ,  Ã,  I
I@@@@@@IÃ,  Ã,  I
I@@@@@@IÃ,  Ã,  I
--------------------

Er, so the game is on the left side of the screen, 0-2 px from the left, upper and bottom part, (i think it stretches it) but at least 100 from the right.

I made some new default games in every possible resolution but i always got this error.

I'm sure it's not my monitor's fault, because I played most of the completed games from this site and each and every was in the center.

Tanks in advance

Seems like the "Monitor Memory" got reset on you somehow (perhaps your monitor was unplugged for a while?), or the video-card setting got changed (new drivers perhaps).

Anyways, typically the problem like you described can usually easily be corrected with adjusting the moniter for the various screen resolution modes.

So, the next time you play a game in which the monitor appears off-center, simply adjust your monitor to center the picture again (in fact, a lot of the newer monitors nowadays will have an "auto-adjust" option on the built-in menu).Ã,
Once the screen has been re-calibrated to your liking in the different screen resolution, the monitor will store (remember) this setting, so the next time you play a game in which the screen adjusts to that different resolution setting, it should (hopfully) already remember the correct position for that particular resolution mode.

Good luck.
