Title: Problem with Size of Image In Room...
Post by: Grapefruitologist on Thu 09/02/2006 08:42:05
I have a problem. I added a new room, a little smaller than the size of my other room in my game. But whenever I go in my new room, my character is like an ant...
What's causing this?

1. Check the zoom settings on your walkable areas. Maybe there's a 10% somewhere a 100% would be more suitable.

2. If that doesn't resolve it, add a black border to your smaller room. I have a feeling that room pics shouldn't be smaller than the game's res.

It's at 100%, and I adjusted the size to the size of my other room, and neither worked.
He still looks like an ant.

Odd, did you mean your character is at normal size in other rooms but much smaller in this room?

- Check whether the scaling in the other rooms were actually set larger than 100%.
- Check also if you checked the "continuous scaling" checkbox for the walkable areas, it's possible that say you set the first value to 10% and the second to 100% (so for example when the character is in the middle of the area he'll be displayed at 55%).
- If the characters sprites were imported with the "Import for 640x480" option and that's not your really wanted, reimport the graphics with that box unchecked.

Are you using Proskrito's MI2 template?

Nevermind; it's working again now for some reason.
Thanks

Did you find out what was wrong?

Yeah. At first, it was set to 100% when I checked, but I tested the game again, and then went back and for some reason it was set to 12%, so I set it to 100%.
