Post by: Ninjer on Sat 09/12/2006 18:46:36
I made a flc animations (with Paint shop animator) and I've tried them in a AGS game. But it doesn't view properly! :( It's whole messed up...
I've tried to make a fli animation, change color depth (in a file - 24, 16, 8..), but it didn't help...

What's wrong about that? Pls help.

FLIC anims are meant to be used in 256col-games. Try converting the anim to avi or mpg.

As far as I know the Flic format was in 256 colour only (and could be huge as they're RLE compressed only, but since it's integrated to the engine it's still good to use FLIC since they should play in all ports of the AGS engine), but I think they should be played without problems in hicolour+ games too.

Maybe PaintShop Animator saved them in someicompatible format (maybe new format?), I think if they're saved by the original Autodesk animator (whatever version) or converted using the Smacker tools (http://www.radgametools.com/default.htm) they might work without problems.
