I am trying to get the demo to compile properly so I can check it out, but the walking animation won't work. Ã, The sprite immediately skips to wherever the cursor is clicked. Ã,

I am just trying to load the demo file in agsedit.exe and then open the .exe file in the demo folder; is this the wrong thing to do?

A message box when compiling says the demo uses old-style animations and that they will need to be recreated?!?!?!!?

I tried finding an old version of ags, but was unsuccessful.

check here for now, to get an old ags

but its probably having to do with how old the ags demo is. there is a new one in the works, but is having some trouble with team members having outside lives.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

As to why the character jumps to his destination instead of walking there, there an issue appeared in the recent official 2.61 version. Just goto the characters panel and change Roger's walking and animation speeds to something else than 0. The bug has been fixed in current betas of 2.62.

Thanks a lot for that second posting.

I didn't read it before I replied last time but it made the demo work perfectly.

Thanks
