Title: Questions regarding changing the size of the character
Post by: on Sat 16/10/2004 22:28:48
I've been browsing around, but couldn't find an answer to these questions (they kindof the same, really)

1. How do I change a character's size, so that it will apear smaller or bigger in some rooms?

2. How do I achive a depth affect, so that the character would become smaller when it progresses further away from the screen?

and another one, not really related: are the complete games hosted on the ags web site, or are they merely linked?

thanks

The answer to both is, in the room editor, you can set the 'scaling' factor for each walkable area. You can either make the entire area, say, 80%, or you can make it so that the top of the area is 50%, and the bottom is 125%.
Individual characters have a toggle that allows them to ignore this setting. Objects always ignore it.

I believe most games are linked, there is a thread in the 'finished games' forum (or was it the 'in production' forum?) which deals with suitable hosts.

I'm sorry to have to do this, but both answers can easily be found in the manual. Read it. Love it. Be it. :)
