Ok maybe I'm stupid, I don't know but I'm going crazy over a problem. Hope my english is understandable. First of all i have used click and create to do the graphics...Then i import it to paint and save it as 24-bit bitmap and they are in 640 * 480 but when i import the background into AGS it says relative size 320*240. When i test the game the picture becomes HUGE...maybe 1,5 times bigger.

What's the problem?...i've tried all resolutionsettings in AGS and when i try to run it in a seperate window it looks fine but the window won't maximize so you see all programs etc you have running in the background. I looked at the properties on the picture and it says

"width 640 pixels"
"Height  480 pixels"
"Horisontal resolution 96 dpi"
"Vertical resolution 96 dpi"
"Bit depth 24"
"frame count 1"

I hope someone can help me, thanks in advance :)

I don't understand.

You drew a picture at 640 x 480 and it is too big? If so, have you tried changing the resolution to 640 x 480? And for the window problem it will be in your winsetup file, just click the box that says run in a window.

no the picture is not too big it looks fine when i look at it in paint etc. But when i run the game it becomes much bigger....so big that you can't see the whole picture at once. yes run in a window works, the picture looks fine BUT you can't maximize that window...and i don't want to see the windows background or other applications i might have running in the background when i run the game

You misunderstood what I said.

I meant that to get the wnidowed mode into fullscreen mode, you have to go into AGS, go to file, setup game, and uncheck the box that says run in a window. If you already did this, and it still runs in a window, then I don't know what to do. As for resolution, what did you choose when you started your game?

Mouth for war

No it's when i uncheck the box the picture becomes so big. when i check the box that says "run in a window" the picture looks fine BUT when you run it in a window it won't maximize the window and that bothers me. Fullscreen mode makes the picture gigantic.

1. You can't switch the mode while the game is running. It's either fullscreen or windowed from the start.

2. If windowed looks fine but fullscreen is cropped, something is indeed going wrong.
What is your game's resolution? What is your desktop resolution? Have you installed the latest version of DirectX/graphics card drivers?
Did you choose one of the 2x or 3x filters in your game's winsetup?

When you run a game fullscreen the screen resolution is changed according to the set resolution of the game (which whould be 640x480 in your case), which, most of the time, is not the default desktop resolution you're using> When a monitor is set to a certain resolution (coupled with a specified refresh rate) for the first time its settings were usually not set properly, you may need to mess with the controls (ie. something like the buttons/knobs/etc. in front of it) of the monitor manually to get it right.

And no, AGS game displays can't be rescaled at run-ime, so forget about "maximizing" it.
