Not sure what you're asking.

Since, AFAIK, the Room list is based on the room file name, it's not possible to drag & drop entries in the list - the only way to get a room before room 1 would be to save it as room0.crm. However, the room number isn't actually that important - if you want the player to start in a different room (that is, be in another room before Room 1), just change the Start in room value on the 'Characters' window.

EDIT:
If you want to change the room's number in the list (e.g. to keep linked rooms together), I think you'd have to rename  the crm files, and re-load them into AGS.

No, room0 would be the 'first' room you could have.

What are you trying to do? Why do you want to fit these rooms before Room01?

Or:

So, the current rooms 0 - 2 become rooms 4 - 6, and the new rooms are 1 - 3.

It depends, as I said, on WHY you want them 'before' the existing rooms.

I think you will have to rename them, I'm afraid, or live with them being in the middle of the other rooms.

The other option is to give the new rooms much higher numbers, so that they'll always be after the playable ones. Just keep in mind that rooms numbered 300+ won't have their states saved - i.e. local variables, objects you've turned off or on, etc, will be reset every time you enter the room (which probably wouldn't be a problem with title/intro screens anyway).

No. This is not neccesary. The room numbers have nothing to do with when they will be displayed in game.

If you want to have a logo screen, make it anytime you want it. Just have your player character start in that room number, and then you can select in the room properties "hide player character"... there, you have your logo room, and no visible character. then you can have some room to have your 'play flic' hosted in. it could be room99 if you want. it doesnt matter. you just have to link to that one from your first room that the logo was in, with some sort of NewRoomEx(); code, and then when youre in the flic movie room, link with newroomex(); to the next appropriate room number.

and dont just copy/paste my 'newroomex();... look it up in the manual to see how it is used.

Or, as I've said twice:
Quotethe room number isn't actually that important - if you want the player to start in a different room (that is, be in another room before Room 1), just change the Start in room value on the 'Characters' window.

However, I thought MEHRDAD wanted  the new rooms to appear earlier in the Room Editor list. If that's not the case, sorry for the confusion. If it is the case - does anyone know an easier way than the one I previously outlined.

I knew what you said, but I was merely trying to say, that it's not really possible. I didn't mean to run over what you had said, and I do believe all their problem is, is to have the names come higher, but it also sounds like they think that it won't play in a correct order that they want, so I guess I was just trying to write it my way, in hopes of getting the message across to this person.

Also, it seems to me, as from your first post that you are not a native english speaker. If you would like, go ahead and write what language you noramally use, and if someone spots it, and also knows it, perhaps you two could private message each other through some means to get your ideas out easier. Just please don't write non-english threads in these forums, without translations. We're trying to keep this an english board. Not to be jerks, but just for consistency.

Ummm, sorry Scummy, but where have either Ashen or MEHRDAD posted non-english posts?

And you can rename rooms to reorder them, so it is possible, although a bit risky. But as you both have said, you can just get your guy starting in room 200 and make room 200 have your logo, then it jumps to room 1

Yeah MEHRDAD, the rooms in the list are sorted corresponding to the time you created them, but as the others say, you can link them up as you like, for example:

0 - Intro
1 - Playable Room
2 - Intro Continues
3 - Main Menu
4 - Another playable room

But you can make it so after Into(0) it goes to Intro Continues(2), next Main Menu(3), then Playable Room(1) and finally jump to Another playable room(4). :)

I bet Scummy's 2nd paragraph was addressed to MEHRDAD; I got the joke though :)

That's rich, from a Scotsman. ;)

I do think though (and possibly MERHDAD does, or possibly I'm just putting words into his/her mouth) that it looks neater to have all the Intro stuff together and seperate from the playable stuff.

Oh boy. My aplogoies.  I was assuming that someone was trying their best to write in english, but I was inviting them to write in their native language. I never said that they had written in another language, and I was just referrring to MEHRDAD.

Maybe I'll just stay out of this one, before I put my foot in my mouth even further.

So yes, it is possible, but we hope you learned to plan ahead next time.
