RPG questions

I'm thinking about making an RPG in AGS BUT I dont know how to do random battles (by which I mean, when you're walking around you get randomly attacked by enemies, like Final Fantasy style).

I bet you will need the Random-function :-)

Please be more specific. What parts have you already done, and what parts can't you figure out?

I'm sorry, but it's just an aspect that I haven't really considered before.  I figured that you could hopefully find an answer somewhere in that thread.  Sorry I couldn't be of more use.
