Installing Modules

Hi everyone,

Sorry for bothering you all, but I'm a complete N00b to AGS and I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere else.  Apologies if it has already been covered and I've missed it, though :)

Basically, I'm working on my first AGS game, which I intend to use as a kind of demo project to get the hang of the basic stuff. Anyway, I was looking for a way to get the STATUSLINE GUI bar to display Lucasarts-style text, like "Walk to door" or "Pick up Key", or "Talk to Frank", etc.

I found something in the manual about using a label with the @OVERHOTSPOT@ marker, which worked fine, but I couldn't see anything about the first part -- i.e,  how to generate the "Talk to" or "Use" commands to go with it. Also, it didn't seem to work when I had the cursor over an object, which I was hoping it would.

Anyway, I eventually found a link to SSH's Descriptions Module, which sounds perfect, but being such a hapless newbie I can't figure out how to actually use it. I've imported it in the Modules Manager, but I don't know what to do from there. If anyone could let me know, I'd appreciate it :)

Alternatively, if there's an easy way to make a GUI display the classic Lucasarts-style descriptions, that'd be great too :)

Use the forum search, I'd say this is one of the most frequently asked questions around here, (despite not actually being in the BFAQ). Most recently it was brought up HERE, and there's a sticky thread here in Beginners Tech dealing with using the several available templates to get a LucasArts-style interface.

If you still think you need help with SSH's Module, post in it's thread, don't start a new one. (This goes for most available Modules). For the record, this actually sounds like a problem with USING the module, not installing it - if it's imported, it should be good to go and SSH's modules are usually very well documented.
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.
