Scaling character

Hi :)

I have a small problem, when my character goes from one room to another the scaling is different. In the second room the character is larger towards the bottom of the screen that he would be when he is at the top. When my character transitions back into the first room he is still scaled to high and towers over the door in the first room. Any idea how I can scale him down before he enters the room?

You can manually scale down the character in the room's before fadein event, but I doubt this is necessary if you have setup the first room's walkable area properly.
By default, a character doesn't retain his scaling during a room change; as soon is he is moved to another room and on a walkable area inside that room, the character's scaling is determined by the walkable area he is now standing on.

Are you saying that starting out in the first room, the scaling is fine, but after going to room 2 and back, it's suddenly off?

If that's the case, the only reason I can think of is that you turned of automatic scaling in room 1. Are you using any modules or something other than the Default template?

Hi I have sorted the problem now thanks to your reply :), I had removed the walk able area in the 2nd room upon restoring it the player scale is back to normal thank you !

Glad this is solved but I'm not really sure how. Keep in mind that these threads are also supposed to help others who find them using the forum search.
I have a hard time deciphering your post; did you remove a walkable area, then forget about it?
