I am brand new to AGS, I just downloaded it this morning. However, I have some experience with this type of programming so I feel I'm learning quickly. But I have a few problems:

1. A placed an object, a key (that I drew myself, might be the source of the problem) in my game, and although I see it in the editor, I dont see it when I'm playing. I can pick it up though by clicking where I know it is, and it works properly. How do I fix this?

2. I tried making my own character animations, but I failed miserably. The char was a simple stick figure, but its animation was all messed up... it was pathetic. The problem was, I just drew 2 frames for the character moving at all the directions each, then copied and flipped them. But it didnt work. Someone explain to me the process of doing a character animation, step by step! Please!

Well you'd think with all that text for 2 simple questions I'd be done, but I still have one thing to ask. I tend to get a bit, uh, gory in the drawings and comics and stuff I do at school, so I'm wondering if theres a limit to where I should take it in my games. Will It get posted here if its really, really violent? This is sort of an awkward question... well anyway, thanks for reading!

if its realy violent, all that will happen is in the rating it will say extreme violence or something, it will still be put up.

1) did you place it on a walk behind area?

The Mongoos

Thanks, thats it... I put it on a walk behind area. But if I make the space directly underneath it not walk-behind, then you'll see the character there once the key is picked up, right? What do I do about it?

i recently had problems with a character i made that had only two frames of animation, you need atleast three frames, the first is an idle view for when the character is standing still, so try adding more frames and it should fix it....
