Title: Sierra Portraits: player.say and text position
Post by: abstauber on Sat 14/11/2009 17:02:06
Hey,

I really can't figure this out:

I'm using the speech style SierraWithBackground and it works for all characters except the player character.
When I try to use "player.say", the text is written above the player's sprite with no background.

Is there any way to avoid this?
(Except a transparent dummy character?)

Thanks! :)

So the sierra portrait works for all other characters except for your main character?

Not really. The portrait is shown for all characters. But for the player's character, the text is displayed above it's head. Also the SierraWithBackground option is being ignored.

But since I use SSH's great portrait module, it's quite easy to add a dummy character with the player's portrait.
