Title: Sierra-style dialogue wont do anything!
Post by: on Fri 02/07/2004 18:14:43
Hey folks! I'm a real noo-b, started today, and I got a question.
Whenever I put on "speech style" Sierra-style or Sierra-style/w-background, there isn't much difference than the Lucas-Art one, except the dialogue is not positioned "above" the character.
How do I make the dialogue appear in a box like in the "Quit" menu option? and perhaps add the character's head pic on the box depends on whose talking?

Appriciate the help in advance,
Idan

In order for the sierra style speech to work a character must have a talking view. Set up a closeup portrait view, go to the characters pane and set that view as character's talking one. If you don't specify a talking view AGS uses lucasarts style speech instead.
