Even though, through Music type properties I have set music drop to 0 when player is talking it takes no effect. Even with game.speech_music_drop=0; it makes no difference the music drops whilst talking.

It sounds like you've set music to have a drop of 0 when music plays.
Have you set it to 0 for types which are not music?
