Video shows in preview but not full screen.

Do you mean it does not work in full screen at all, or that it does not work when you run the game outside the editor (from Compiled folder)?

The video plays but no pictures, only sound..

in editor full window and from complied folder.

I'd convert everything to ogg / ogv in general. It's the only way to guarantee it'll play on every system, afaik.

Those don't either Khris...

they play outside, say from desktop OK..

Slasher, is the file on the compiled windows folder too? I seem to remember something about the file not being copied to the windows folder... but can't remember what version the problem was in and if it's been fixed.

Wait, so, when you said "preview" you meant like running video in media player? I thought you meant running game from the editor.

So it does not work in AGS at all?

There is difference to where you should put the video file. If it's avi or mpg it should be placed near the exe file (in Compiled/Windows). If it's OGV, then it should be placed in the game project folder (and then editor adds it inside the game exe).

What if you run from the compiled folder in window mode, does it play or also not? I am trying to understand if its fullscreen it does not work in or outside the editor at all.
Does choosing another graphic driver in setup make a difference?

I don't know, it sounds like AGS cannot find video when run outside the editor.
Is it possible to take a look at the game project (unless its too large)?

Would there be any right places for the video to be messed up in?
Maybe you could upload the mp4 and have someone else convert it and test it?
I have a feeling that there's some codec or something since you got your new computer that ags doesn't like.

Hi

I converted an .mp4 with AVC Converter to .ogv and videos works ok now in full screen.. The codecs must have got messed up before I guess after using an online converter..
