Hi  :-D

I have been playing around with AGS and am thinking of making an educational game for my students (they are learning highschool math).

Only thing I am thinking before I charge full steam ahead is whether it is easy to export AGS games to Android... perhaps via an App.. or to OS X... via an .exe or however mac users do it. I see other forum posts talking about exporting the engine but I don't know what that means. Does it mean that my students would have to download the engine and then the game on top of that? That seems like a hassle especially for teenagers.

Is there a simple one-click solution to opening an AGS game in other systems (like .exe on windows)? Sorry if the question is a little ill-formed.

Thanks  (laugh)

It's possible to bundle your game with Android/OSX engine version and let people download that.

For Android that will result in signed or unsigned APK, in former case it will be possible to upload to Google Store, iirc. This is achieved by taking the precompiled engine + utility libraries (link is in the release post here on forums) and creating an APK with them inside. The process is still half manual, and most recently described here: https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=55681.0

For OSX and iOS, I cannot tell much, only know that's possible and was done for few commercial AGS titles. Maybe someone else will post an information here. In the worst case, try contacting AGS developers who had an OSX release.

And yes, we must add this information into the manual. Things were running pretty slow in regards in keeping documentation up to date.
