Title: Some questions about AGS
Post by: SilentXObsession on Tue 27/09/2011 03:17:42
I have been trying for almost a year or two to make a game, recently last year me and my older sister found a game called Chzo Mythos which inspired me,that is how i found out about AGS. Unfortunately i wasn't able to find any tutorials on how to create sprites and backgrounds. So my questions are...

1.How do i make sprites that don't look ugly or dorky?

2.How do i make backgrounds that look good?

3.How do i make a midi file?

I am only 13 so i am not very good at the technical stuff, but i am willing to learn.

Thanks  :)

Better check the stickied threads in the Critics Lounge first, especially this (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=30939.0) and this (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=32133.0), but the secret is practice, practice and practice.

There's also the RON series which was more or less started by the same guy who did the Chzo games.
You can download templates, characters, backgrounds and more (http://www.realityonthenorm.info/resources.html) and focus on the story and puzzles and also the technical side of creating a game.

Wrong forum btw, this isn't an AGS technical question.
