Transparancy Problem

I'm using theese spirites as a character but the transparentcy wont work, The purple background still stayes on when i test it. i've tried over n over again but it wont work. This is the Pic Any ideas on how to fix this?

You are aware that you must import sprites separately, and not as a whole sheet, right?
When importing sprites, select 'upper left pixel = transparent'.

The top left pixel of that pic, which AGS uses for the transparency, is the darker, border purple. Try changing that pixel to the lighter, background purple, hopefully that'll fix the problem.
