Title: Transparency(?) problem
Post by: TheQisSilent on Fri 21/11/2003 11:44:38
I'm not quite sure what this happens, but my character is supposed to be wearing a hot pink shirt (retro look) but, for some reason, when I imported him his shirt is the color of the background.  Can someone help me out with this?

Your best bet is to change the colour of the background (of the sprite) to a colour that is not part of the character.

The transparency is decided by the colour of a pixel, the default is top-left, you can change it with the drop down box when importing.

That should solve the problem I think

If that doesn't work, try a slightly different shade of pink

I remeber Chris sometime saying something about pink in sprites becoming transparent anyway...

yes, I had this problem too. You must have used the standard pink colour from MSPaint! Try to change the pink a little bit, I mean,  a little bit darker or lighter... and then import the graphic again.

Yeah, I'm guessing that's it too.  Thanks for the help guys, and btw Minimi, I love your buddy icon.  Someone should really make a Homestarrunner adventure game, dont'cha think? :)
