problem with gui's

hi ive the latest verson of ags.
ive started a new game with the default template.
but when i run the scene the gui at the top are all dark out and black.

im running in 32 bit color at 1024x764.

this not be a problem if i used my own customs ones would it when i make them?

That's a bit strange question to ask. Why haven't you tried to make a quick custom GUI with different colors and try out yourself? Not that it takes too long.  :-\

Regarding default template - it uses dark colors, that's true. But, to be honest, from what you said I cannot tell whether it is the case, or you are having some kind of graphics bug (for example). I think best way to know is to import new GUIs with brighter colors and see how they look like.

EDIT: Hmm, I have another thought. Default template uses some kind of status bar at the top, which has dark-gray color. I think you may simply remove it.

The default graphics are really old and still 8bit. In a 32bit game, the colors get screwed up.

I'd say you either stick to 16bit for now, or, if you really need alpha transparency and thus 32bit, you surely are going to replace the default graphics anyway, right?

(In the meantime though, as a quick'n'dirty fix, you can right-click each sprite, select "copy to clipboard", then right-click it again and select "replace from clipboard".)

Aah, sorry, I did not realize this, my mistake. Yes, that might be the cause of the problem.
