Title: Turning objects ON/OFF from another room...
Post by: Snake on Mon 15/01/2007 16:03:09
This may be the stupidest question ever asked in this forum, and I feel just as stupid asking it.

I can't seem to find in the manual how to turn objects on and off from another room... don't really feel like using another GlobalInt. Isn't there a command for this or am I going insane?

Thanks in advance,

Just use GlobalInts (like you mentioned), global variables or the Otheroom (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=20650) module. There's no direct way.

The wiki isn't letting me login (either that or I've forgotten my password :-[), but maybe this should be added to the BFAQ as Snake is far from the first to ask it?

EDIT: OK, added it (http://americangirlscouts.org/agswiki/Scripting%2C_Code_%26_Interaction#Turning_Objects.2FHotspots.2FRegions_On_or_Off_in_another_room.), but feel free to reword it for clarity.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I just wanted to say thank you.
I got busy working on other things so naturally I forgot to check ::)

What an assnut.
