Hello everyone,
I created some tutorial videos to help out the beginners of AGS. My intention is to help create their games using AGS.
Some topics are:
Mirrors, Separate Region Walk Sounds, Dial Pad Puzzle, Condition Based Dialog, Customized Cursors, Split Room Functions, Show All Hotspots in a Room Function, Enhanced Exits.
And of course a tutorial game called "Bob's Quest", where I made a game from scratch to show the steps of making a game with AGS.
Here is the link to the tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpxMdWTaW2s&list=PLdlsMVDmowzSkFXAwnV_dOXjrSqYsjU15
The game files you can find here:
Bob's Quest (The Game- does not include the extras mentioned below):

And the "AGS Game Files" to explore:
The Bar Scene, The Safe Puzzle, The Hotspot Marker (Show All Hotspots):

The Mirror Game File:

The Ripped Letter Puzzle (Final update of the game file):

I hope the tutorials will help beginners to understand the basics of AGS. :-D
Cool, thanks for doing this. :)
I agree with
@Cassiebsg.
Those tutorials should have more visibility on the forums somehow.
If you are a complete beginner these tutorials are the best way to start with AGS in 2024.@Eon_Star Thanks for the time and effort you put into this! (nod)
Yes. I agree. Because I started without much knowledge. Some of the mods must be re-edited. I thought the beginners should see how the AGS script works in general. I hope to be of help to everyone here.
I admit some tutorials may look a bit difficult but I always share the finished game file, so you can see what I did and maybe you can use the same/ similar codes.
Thanks for your nice replies.
:)
