I *think* you're talking about an AGS game, yes? If that's the case, yes, you can do that. The most simple way is to make many, many copies on oldfashioned 3'5 disks (AGS games can not be burned on CD ROm, you know- only on BLUE Ray), and ask everybody if he/she wants a copy.
::)

No, serious. Basically you are allowed to distribute an AGS game any way you like, you can even sell them for money. Just be careful, though- make sure all the content of your game is *yours*. Otherwise, you will be violating copyright. This sometimes goes unnoticed but can also spell Wintermute trouble.

As to *how*, that's not too difficult either. Set up a web site (Freewebs, for example), and offer your game as a download. If you do wish to make money with the game, well, you'll need to set up some PayPal system. Or, also possible, if your game is good quality, go and try to find a publisher who will do the distribution for you; chances are pretty rate to get one as an indie developer though.

If you are *not* talking about AGS games, disregard anything I just said.

Senseless quoting below the reply, that's a new one.
Please read the links I've posted. You probably haven't seen them in time, but there's still the sticky posted in bold you're supposed to read before posting, holding links to all the information you're looking for.

I have read the link but i don't know what they mean sorry, can you tell me which licence I need for my game please

zabnat

You don't need to worry about any licences if you distribute your game as freeware. Just finish the game, put it up somewhere and provide a link in the completed games forum.

You only need to worry about linceces if you plan to sell your game and if you don't understand the links posted, I don't think you should go commercial yet :).

I'm getting the feeling that you don't quite understand the concept of a "license;" all it is is an abstract collection of legal rights and responsibilities. You automatically get the license KhrisMUC linked to when you download AGS.

Thank you everybody who helped me understand this :)
