Title: What excactly is a GUI?
Post by: on Thu 12/08/2004 19:54:14
I'm a real noob, and I've looked all over but I haven't actually got a good explanation of what a GUI is... I mean I do know in a way, but always when I think I understand it fully, I see something that messes all my assumptions... So could somebody explain what a GUI actually is? Ã, ::)

I could, but wiki can probably give you even the history and all:

:D OK, a bit more complex than I though...  ;)

So it's all the interface? OK...

Well, anyways, how hard is it to create a BASS-type of GUI? And how do you do it? (OK, I'm not as noob as I made myself seem. I do  know how to use AGS quite well...)

Did you even try searching through the forums?

BASS GUI (http://www.freewebs.com/skimbleshanks/templates.htm) (you'll have to scroll down a bit to find it)

If you don't want to use somebody elses work, you could at least break it apart and see how it works, then create your own.
